Help Desk Software With a One-Time Payment

Buy a perpetual TaskBridge licence with unlimited agents and source code included. Understand the one-time payment, optional maintenance and ongoing costs.

If you are looking for help desk software with a one-time payment, the question is simple: can you buy the software and keep using it without a compulsory renewal? With TaskBridge, you can. The perpetual licence covers your organisation’s internal use, with unlimited agents and end users.

TaskBridge runs on your own infrastructure and includes full source code under a commercial internal-use licence. There is one edition, without pricing tiers or feature gates. You pay for the software licence once, then decide separately whether to continue with optional maintenance after the included period.

What the one-time payment includes

The current TaskBridge licence price is €4,499, plus applicable taxes. It includes a perpetual licence, unlimited agents and end users, all standard TaskBridge features, source code for internal use and customisation, and the first 12 months of updates and maintenance. Check the Pricing page for the current offer and contact us to confirm the scope of your purchase.

Perpetual use means the licensed software does not require a subscription renewal simply to remain in use. It does not mean that hosting, administration, future engineering work or support cost nothing. Separating those costs makes it easier to decide what you need and when to buy it.

No mandatory subscription; optional ongoing maintenance

The first 12 months of updates and maintenance are included. From year two, continued updates and standard email support are optional at €900 per year under the current published offer. Choosing not to continue maintenance does not turn the perpetual software licence into a subscription.

During an active maintenance period, the published package covers new standard releases, security and product defect fixes, compatibility work for the supported application stack and deployment baseline, new standard product features, and standard email support on business days.

Keeping a system maintained is still an operational decision. If you do not continue the optional package, plan how you will maintain your installation and assess future update needs. Discuss custom work or assistance outside standard maintenance separately; do not assume it is included in the licence price.

Add agents without adding licence seats

TaskBridge includes unlimited agents and end users, so adding a person does not create another TaskBridge agent licence charge. Appropriate permissions and infrastructure capacity still apply.

Compare the costs using your own team size

Use the same scope and time period when comparing offers. A low monthly figure may cover a different feature set or number of agents; a perpetual licence may require infrastructure you already have or need to provide. Neither headline price tells the whole story.

  • Software licence: compare the one-time price with the subscription cost for the agents and features you actually need.
  • Team growth: calculate the subscription at today’s headcount and at the headcount you expect later.
  • Infrastructure: include the hosting, storage, backups and administration required for a self-hosted installation.
  • Updates and support: separate included services from optional maintenance and any separately agreed work.
  • Implementation: confirm installation scope, configuration responsibilities and any migration or customisation requirements before purchase.

As an illustration, €50 per agent per month for ten agents is €6,000 per year in subscription charges. That is arithmetic, not a quote from a particular vendor or a claim that two products have identical features. Compare the actual offers available to you, including the work your own team will perform.

For TaskBridge, a five-year calculation at the currently published prices would start with €4,499 for the licence and included first year, plus €3,600 if you choose four subsequent years of €900 maintenance. That totals €8,099 before taxes, infrastructure and any separately agreed services. It assumes the current maintenance price throughout; it is not a five-year price guarantee.

Source code gives you maintenance options

TaskBridge supplies the full source code under a commercial internal-use licence. Your organisation can arrange permitted internal customisation and work with a qualified provider of its choice. You are not limited to treating the application as a service that only the original vendor can operate.

The licence remains commercial and the software remains proprietary. Source availability does not permit resale or transfer TaskBridge’s intellectual property. Changes also need to be documented, tested and maintained. This is a practical option for organisations with technical ownership, not a promise that future development is effortless.

Who should consider this purchasing model?

Help desk software without a mandatory subscription can suit an organisation that expects to use the product for several years, wants predictable agent licensing and is willing to operate the application on its own infrastructure. The fit is stronger when deployment control and source access matter alongside cost.

A vendor-hosted subscription can be a better fit when you want the supplier to operate the infrastructure or need to minimise the initial software payment. TaskBridge is also not a free open-source product or a complete enterprise ITSM platform. Choose the workflow and operating model your team can support, rather than the payment label alone.
