Customer Service Ticketing System for Teams

Organise customer enquiries in one self-hosted ticket queue with clear ownership, priorities and history. TaskBridge includes unlimited agents and a one-time licence.

A customer service ticketing system gives every customer enquiry a visible owner, status and history. Instead of leaving requests across personal inboxes, TaskBridge gives your team one self-hosted place to organise the work and follow each issue through to completion.

TaskBridge is built for organisations that want the ticketing application and its data on infrastructure they control. It is supplied with unlimited agents and end users, full source code under a commercial internal-use licence, and a one-time software licence rather than compulsory per-agent subscriptions.

What a customer service ticketing system should solve

A shared support address is useful, but an inbox alone does not show clearly who is responsible, what is waiting, or which requests have already been answered. A ticketing system turns each enquiry into a record that the team can manage consistently.

  • One place for customer requests: keep the conversation and its status visible to the people responsible for support.
  • Clear ownership: assign work so two people do not answer the same request while another request is overlooked.
  • Useful priorities and statuses: separate urgent work from routine enquiries and see what still needs attention.
  • Consistent follow-through: preserve the history of a request instead of relying on one employee’s inbox or memory.
  • Operational visibility: use the information recorded in the system to review workload and response activity.

A practical workflow from enquiry to resolution

The useful part of a ticketing system is not the ticket number. It is the shared process behind it. A request arrives, the team reviews it, assigns responsibility, records progress and closes it when the customer has an answer or the required work is complete.

That process creates a reliable handover when another person needs to help. It also gives managers a clearer view of open work without asking every agent for a separate update. The exact workflow should remain simple enough for the team to use consistently; adding statuses that nobody understands creates administration rather than control.

Keep customer support data on your infrastructure

TaskBridge runs in a Docker container on customer-controlled infrastructure. Your organisation decides where the application runs, who can reach it, how backups are handled and how it fits into your operational environment. Customer ticket content is not automatically transmitted to TaskBridge as part of a vendor-hosted service.

This operating model gives you control, but it also gives you responsibility. Your team or hosting provider must manage the server environment, access, monitoring and backups. If you want a supplier to operate every part of the service for you, a hosted SaaS product may be the more suitable choice. Our SaaS versus self-hosted help desk comparison explains that trade-off.

Add customer service agents without buying more seats

TaskBridge includes unlimited agents and end users under its commercial internal-use licence. You can give appropriate access to the people who need to handle or review customer requests without creating another TaskBridge licence charge for each agent.

This can be useful when customer questions sometimes need input from operations, finance or a product specialist. It does not remove the need for sensible permissions, training or enough infrastructure for the workload. Read the detailed unlimited-agent help desk guide for the licensing and cost implications.

One edition and a one-time software licence

TaskBridge has one edition rather than several feature tiers. The software is purchased with a one-time perpetual licence, and the first 12 months of updates and maintenance are included under the current published offer. Continued maintenance after that period is optional.

Self-hosting still has operating costs, and custom work is not automatically included in the licence. Compare the complete cost of the software, infrastructure, administration and support you need. The Pricing page is the authoritative source for the current TaskBridge offer.

Full source code for internal use and customisation

The full TaskBridge source code is included under a commercial internal-use licence. This gives an organisation with suitable technical resources the option to inspect and customise its installation instead of depending entirely on a closed hosted service.

TaskBridge remains proprietary, source-available software; it is not open source. Internal changes must be planned, tested and maintained, and the licence does not permit resale or transfer of TaskBridge intellectual property.

Who is TaskBridge suitable for?

TaskBridge is a practical option for a small or medium-sized organisation that wants a structured customer support workflow, can operate a self-hosted application and values predictable licensing as the team grows. It is especially relevant when infrastructure control and source access matter alongside the ticketing process.

It is not a promise to replace a large enterprise ITSM suite, a CRM platform or a fully managed contact-centre service. If your requirements depend on capabilities outside a focused help desk workflow, identify them before choosing a system and confirm the fit during a demonstration.
